The Portfolio Optimization software is excellent. If I had discovered it earlier, it would have saved me many hours of work! My interest with the subject began after studying finance portfolio theory, and at the time, I began creating own spreadsheet starting with 2 stocks, 3 stocks, then 20 stocks to test the computations and to put theory into practice. My spreadsheet worked, but it was a bit tedious and getting the data, always a difficult and time consuming task. After in depth testing of this software with my standard data sets, the results obtained are accurate and my work can be accomplished in minutes rather than hours! George Chow

I find Portfolio Optimization spreadsheet the best value for money tool for creating Markovitz –efficient portfolios. Everything is packed in an very easy to use spreadsheet. You can use securities prices or its returns as an input. Then you input weighting constraints and the tool calculates correlation matrix together with volatility and expected returns. Of course one can manually change these numbers before running optimisation process. After that you will receive portfolio weightings and efficient frontier chart. You can choose any portfolio weightings (custom set, min. risk, max return etc.) to be presented in a table and marked on a chart. The Spreadsheet offers tool for free data downloading. Additionally the spreadsheet calculates some technical analysis indicators.
